It's true - in a way. One day while cycling hard up a hill a what-if idea popped into my head. What if amnesia was infectious? It isn't thank goodness, but think if it was and no one was immune, and you lost memory backwards at the rate of a year's worth per week. So if you got married, moved to a new town, passed exams, got a new job in the last year then after a week, you wouldn't know about it! Society would soon break down. How could this happen, and how soon would the amnesia spread around the planet? All this and more is in ARIA: Left Luggage a science fiction and medical mystery novel published in 2012 by Scottish press, LL-Publications. In late December, the book was nominated for an award. The P&E Readers' Poll. Out of 85 science fiction books ARIA was voted the best. I show you the emblem.
